/ “Decorate Me” DUCK/

Here is a terrific idea!    Make a short video as you decorate your duck and submit it to the Fairfield Sun

“Flip For Ducks Video Contest”!

A “Decorate Me” DUCK is a big  10 inch rubber duck that you decorate prior to the Fairfield County Duckie Derby using whatever materials you like. This work of art does NOT go in the water, it goes on display to be judged for a prize ribbin in one of 4 categories. On May 19th, at 12:00- 12:45, bring your decorated duck to the Decorator Duck Display Tents at the Mill River, 834 Brookside  and register your duck for the beauty contest.

All ducks must be family friendly. (We reserve the right not to display ducks that are deemed inappropriate.) The only rule is that the base of your duck, should you decide to use a base will not exceed 12″ x 12″ .

There are three  groups for this contest:

  1. Ducks Decorated by kids 10 and under.
  2. Ducks Decorated by anyone 11 and older.
  3. Group submissions – such as a team mascot or a class, club, troop, family group effort.

The Judges will award  prize ribbons to the winners of the following categories for all 3 groups:

The decorator ducks are fun to do with a group – or individually – just takes a good imagination!
